Our Story
British Patent Information Professionals (BPIP) is an informal group of UK-based representatives of organisations which have interests in patent information matters. Started in 1990 as the Derwent UK User Group, and later the Thomson Scientific User Group (TSUG), it has developed into an organisation of professionals who use a range of vendor products and services and have similar professional interests and concerns.
Our Members
Individual members are drawn from a range of industry types, including large corporations, public bodies, IP management and search & analytics services. The sectors they cover include chemicals, construction, energy, household appliances, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, electricals/electronics, engineering, medical devices, heavy industry, marketing & advertising and packaging.
This is a representations of the organisations from which BPIP members are drawn, they are not formally affiliated to the network.
